What I’m thankful for

During my life, my mother showed me to be thankful for what I have. So in this post I’m going to write what I’m thankful for. What I’m thankful for in my life is a roof over my head and food clothing to wear everyday at school . But what I’m mostly thankful for is that god gave me life and a family to take care of me, and friends that help me and make me happy when i’m mad and when I felt left out or sad. So when you wake up everyday, you say thank you to god for another day of life and a other day of taking step on this plant and in this universe. When I see my parents, I hug them and kiss them saying “thank you, you are the best most loving and caring family because you’re always there for me so thank you.” When I to school, I tell the universe “thank you for giving me a great neighborhood that has a great school that will teach me so much.” When I see my friends, I give them a hand shake and thank them for making me happy when I really need it when I feel bad. After school when I see my mom, dad or both of them, I go to them and say “thank you for picking me up from school” and when I’m home and my mom or dad prepares a nice meal for dinner, I “thank god for a family that loves me, cooks for me and buys clothes for me.” When you have people to be thankful for, then thank them and have a great thanksgiving.

What Am I Thankful For?

I’m thankful for having a great family in my life. And I’m proud to have a great dad and mom to tell me from right from wrong, putting a roof over my head, and putting food on my plate so I can have a good meal. And I’m thankful to my parents for putting clothes on my back. I’m glad to have these types of parents because they can support me throughout the way until I go to college and live in my own house.

First of all I love Thanksgiving. All the great food, the parades, no school, I just love everything about thanksgiving. But what I am thankful for is my family, friends and all the food I am provided with each and every day. And the best of all, after thanksgiving, its all about Christmas.

I’m thankful for my mom, because she provides for me what I need and helps me through my problems. Like when I was really failing science class, she encouraged me to do the best I can do. Also, what I think she does for me is that she gives me great affection. Also, my dad provides me with money and sneakers which I ask him. He also helps me try hard on stuff athletically and academically. I love my mom and my dad, and also my brothers because they cheer me on and try to be the greatest family they can be. WHAT I AM THANKFUL FOR

I am thankful because I get to see my family everyday and come home successfully. I am also thankful for having the chance to live everyday and out of harms way and having a family to live with.

What is Alex Santos thankful for?

Alex Santos is thankful.

What I am thankful for is having the chance to see both of my parents everyday. I am also thankful for having the chance to practice my favorite sport everyday, which is baseball. I am also thankful for having a good education and also for having parents who care about me and who put food on the table. For example, every year for Thanksgiving we do something special like a whole bunch of food and sometimes we go to my grandmas house and hang out and have a lot of fun. Also I am thankful for my parents putting clothes on my body and giving me money to buy food after school when I go home and buying me all these games that I have and allowing me and trusting me to have a phone because I get good grades. Also supplying me with school uniform and putting shoes on my feet.

I am thankful for my bother, dad, mom, cousins, aunt, grandparents, and friends.

I say this because they take care of me. They buy me clothes and sneakers, they also feed me food. They will always be there for me and I’m there for them. I wouldn’t ever have been a good kid if my mom and dad weren’t alive. My brothers love me and take care of me. When I’m crying, they make me feel better, my friends do the same thing.

Im am also thankful for Coach Brown. I say this because basketball holds me and pulls me together. Coach helps me with my problems, if I’m failing my grades he would suspend me from the team until I get my grades up.

This is everybody that I’m am thankful for. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Is Derrick Rose ready for the 2015 season?

Is Derrick Rose ready for 2015 or is his career over?

Derrick Rose,  the point guard for the Chicago Bulls, got injured in 2011 and got injured again in 2012. Last season, Rose didn’t play for the whole season because he tore his right knee. The Bulls made the playoffs last season, but they still really needed him. Derrick Rose looked ready early in the season because he showed a lot of effort on the court and he looked like he’d recovered. He got injured again, but he started working out with his trainer and in the past few weeks he looks much better. Last Monday night, he had a great game against the Detroit Pistons, with 24 points and 7 assists. Still, I think Derrick Rose is not ready for the entire season because he keeps getting hurt. I think his career might be over, but we’ll find out soon!

Varsity Basketball Recap: first preseason game

Eagle Academy vs George Westinghouse was the first varsity basketball game of the preseason. It was a scrimmage where they played six quarters and the score was reset to zero after each quarter. George Westinghouse BLEW them out! Westinghouse’s offense was really nice, while the Eagles defense was horrible. The Eagles defense allowed lots of threes and open shots.  Westinghouse’s big man was dominating, scoring 9 points in the first quarter and hitting six threes overall. Malcolm Martinez, number 24 for the Eagles, got a crazy board and had a good game. Junior Tashaun Beckles, number 35 for the Eagles, also had a really good game and scored their first 2 points. Eagle’s biggest problem was that they had a lot of turnovers. They had a tough start, but I think the Eagles are going to do better in the future.
